my hair is realy nappy and short. i don't mind it being nappy, but i just wish it would grow. i wear it in braids now with out weave, but it is not growing. what should i do 2 make it grow?

You have to make sure to keep it well moisturized and conditioned. When our hair gets dry, its really brittle and harder for it to grow. A hot oil treatment every few weeks could help too.

Try not to pull your braids too tight. That makes it break off also. And sleep with a silk or satin scarf on your head. Don't use cotton because that will strip the oils from your hair.

And try not to use curling irons, and flat irons. Avoid putting heat in your hair. Its best if you just keep it conditioned and leave it alone.

Well...I know I don't style mine as much as I should. I don't want it to break. I wear a satin cap (when I remember to) and wear it in a loose ponytail when I sleep so it won't rub against my pillow. I also wore braids for awhile. My hair is relaxed and I get a touch-up every 5-6 weeks.

your hair IS growing, just have patience. you will see results very soon. natural hair grows faster than hair that is treated with chemicals, i have found since going natural myself. you cant do anything to make it grow faster but just keep it healthy and moisturized. use all natural products, things with no alcohol. i found that Aveda products are terrific! your hair is probably gorgeous short, and with patience, will be gorgeous long.
