My hair is unrelaxed. But, I still like to wear updos, ponytails and extensions (weaves). What gel or product is best to use to make unrelaxed, natural hair lay flat? Thanks in advance! :)

try vonte silk effects its blue smells good and it works and probably if u add the vonte wax its all good for the edges and tie a scarf on ur hair for a while then ur good HTH they both smell yummy but dont use tooo tooo much creates alot of build up so be careful

I use the clear Afrikaan Gel.

You take some.. put it on your hair then rap the area tight with a bandana/du rag or whatever use. Make sure you tie it tight cuz it helpes to kkep air out to keep it looking good longer. Good Luck! Hope i helped.

You should try mixed chicks leave in conditioner/styling cream. It works great on curly hair to conditon and define. I bought mine from sultryhair.com

I don't know about a gel, but check Carol's Daughters web site. She has some awesome products for African Americans and other people of color.
