Why do most black girls not have there real hair anymore??

i ain't judging the girls who do have weave and extentions, but i just wana hear from ya'll who do to find out why you do it??

i must admit i did try extentions once and it was good to not have to do my hair when i woke up for like a month.. but still i just think natural is best. what do you think?

and even other races are getting into the extention thing.. i wana know why?

I don't use fake hair. I take excellent care of my hair. I asked my friends why don't you just wear your own hair? The reason is they want different looks and with their hair they can't achieve that. They weave what they can't achieve. But, they also complain after wards when they remove the glue, or threads their hair is more damage and now they have to get more of it cut off and then they run back to the Beauty Supply store to get even more hair. I prefer natural hair.

i dont wear weave either. but its to have as many looks as possible. you know some girls dont want the same ol' hair style after a while.

I like wearing extensions because it's easier to deal with than my own hair. Depending on what kind of hair you purchase it last longer than your own. I can pretty much use any styling product or iron on the extension as opposed to damaging my hair. That's my thoughts.

It's harder to deal with ethnic hair than non-ethnic. Wearing weaves is easier to manage and gives a lot more choices as far as styling. I like weaves because they're versatile. Instead of cutting off or growing my own hair, I can just add or take away some extensions for a new style whenever I want to. Everyone should do it. Celebrities do it all the time.

1st of all most black girls don't have extensions and weave in their hair. And the ones that do have one of the following excuses

1 Bad perm at one point in life

2 It just doesn't grow as long as they want it to be

-b/c of damage

3 The media has brainwashed them into not liking their natural hair

4 Belief that they will help their hair grow

5 Convenience

some women want to wear extensions because they like to try new styles of hair, but don't feel like waiting to let their hair grow out. Other women wear extensions because they have dull hair or thin hair and want to add volume and thickness.
