What's the difference between Weave & Extensions ?

I really don't see any, they both make your hair longer. They both can be sewn or glued in. I always thought weave was the slang of hair extensions.

weaves are blended into your real hair, thus weaving. Extensions are the cheap version of this and they are just attached. They don't last as long or look as good.

Extensins are attached to the ends of your hair, weaves are put on to your scalp.

I think a weave is more involved and is closer to being a full wig than extensions. Maybe a hairstylist can write in with specifics.

weave is when they sew a big piece of hair into your SCALP. extensions are when they attach long pieces of hair onto your normal hair, to make it longer =]
