Just people WITH BLACK hair please!!!!?

I'm black and I have fairly long, somewhat kinky hair. It grows everytime I leave weave in it.

I wanted to experiment with getting extentions sewn in,

where can I go to see how its done, diffrent styles, and get an idea of what its like to have this stuff done? like online.

My natural hair is past shoulder length, and I would like the weave to be about the length of my nautral hair after its sewn in.

Is this possible or is there just too much hair going on to get this done? I didnt think so....

what about maintence, I heard you could wash this think and it will last about 2-3 months? You can even get it tightened? what about when my hair underneath starts to grow ( as it ALWAYS does!).

oh well, thanks guys!!

=*

love,

your nubian princess!

there are two methods to adding extenisons 1. is to braid the hair to the scalp and sew it in. 2. the other is to have it done on a machine. both will last about 2-3 months and yes u can sytle it and treat it as your own. you'll know when it time to redo trust me.yes if you get loose spots they can always be touched up.

good luck!!

I have only had it done once and it was OK, it could have been better but me and a friend were experimenting I was her test dummie. But it was ok. The maintaince is just like your own hair. but it is a good way to give your hair a break, like braids. You can wash it and do everything you do to your own hair.

If you're interested in purchasing some weaving tutorials online, I know for a fact that www.braidsbybreslin.com has videos for everything from braids to hair weaves. They're very good, and take the methods step-by-step.

And as far as weaves go, yes, you can treat them just like your own hair. Its important that you watch what type of conditioner and hair oil you use though. Don't use anything too thick, or you'll get a lot of buildup at the base of the braid where your track is sewn in, and that will make the weave harder to take out when its time to do so.

And yes, weaves can be tightened. :-)
