Mine is almost down to my waist, and yes it's all mine and not weave but God do you know how many black women hate on me for this! It's ridiculous! Why don't they just grow their own hair long. It's not that difficult!!!

It is usually the women who do not know how to take care of and grow their own hair that think mine is a weave. I've never actually been hated on, mine isnt down to my waist either, just mid-back but Im trying to get there.
Theres nothing you can do that will ever change their ignorance, if they do not know how to grow their hair by now than they are refusing to learn.
Till then, just keep swinging it!

I don't understand why that is. My hair is a little past my shoulders (and I'm in the process of growing it out) so I don't exactly know how you feel, but I can get an idea. Its so annoying when other back girls make such a big deal about black girls with long hair like its impossible or something. If they tried half as hard, they probably could have long hair. I am constantly asked if mine is a weave too even though its not that long.
P.S.
For some black women, it actually is very hard to grow their hair out. It depends on the person.

Im not black or mixed but people compliment my hair all the time. It reaches the small of my back.
